The new USB Relays module, IA-2522 USB module represents a refreshing approach to I/O control, highlighted by the simplicity with which it adds "dry contact" I/O to any Notebook PC.
The IA-2522 provides 2 output relays that can control any electric or electronic appliance. It can also be used to monitor electric or electronic events and includes 3 event counters that provide additional monitoring capabilities.
For both the operator and the programmer, the module represents no change in use as compared to the traditional use of serial RS-232 and RS-485 devices. Operation is simple and straightforward. Existing serial programs (designed for use with RS-232 or RS-485) would operate this new IA-2522 device as if it is connected to the PC through an RS-232 or RS-485 port.
