Intelligent Appliance has released the IA-2522 USB module, which adds a simple 'dry contact' I/O device to any Notebook PC.
It provides two output relays that can control any desired electric or electronic appliances, as well as monitor electric or electronic events.
It also includes three 'event counters' that provide an additional monitoring level.
The USB method makes no difference to the programmer or the operator.
All available serial programs (RS-232 and RS-485) operate the IA-2522 as if it were connected to the PC through an RS-232 or RS-485 port.
